We recently visited Chicago and stayed at my brother’s apartment on ‘Riverfront’ in Downtown Chicago. We visited many attractions over the weekend and had a gala time. If you are planning to visit Chicago anytime soon, make sure not to miss these below listed attractions:
Top attractions in Chicago:
Chicago Downtown – Take a stroll in the Chicago downtown and savor the panoramic architectural beauty of the city. Chicago is known for its phenomenal architecture, which is evident here.
Dylan’s Candy Store – This is the ‘candy heaven’ for all the candy connoisseurs. Located in downtown, this store has a plethora of candies of all shapes, colors, sizes, ingredients and flavors to choose from. You will see both adults and kids going bonkers here. Grab a bag, fill in the candies to your heart content, weigh them, pay and enjoy the bliss!
Chicago Cubs Store – Are you a cubs fan? Then, your visit to Chicago is never complete, without having snagged some goodies from ‘Team Cubs’ store located in Chicago Downtown!
Architectural Boat Tour: We absolutely loved this tour. This is a very comprehensive and informative 45 minutes boat tour, explaining Chicago’s exceptional architectures, their respective history and the architects/ architectural firms, as you cruise through the Chicago river.
Millennium Park – Enjoy your evening at the Millennium Park. It houses the famous ‘Cloud Gate‘, which is a ‘bean shaped’ stainless steel, free standing structure, without any visible beams, built by a British Indian Sir Anish Kapoor.
Maggie Daley Park: This is located right next to the ‘Cloud Gate’. Toddlers and up will absolutely love this neatly maintained park, built especially for kids, which contains huge slides, swings and other play areas.
